How Can I Become A Member?

“It was clear that the Heritage Hjemkomst Center had an important place in the community and I wanted to be part of it.”

– Carl Bailey, Moorhead, MN

Every great institution depends on a core of dedicated supporters who are willing to take their commitment beyond the occasional visit and become involved at a deeper level. At the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center, that kind of commitment can become membership.

There are many levels of membership, but at the heart of it all, members are individuals who share the vision of the Heritage Center – to promote the cultural, educational, and historical heritage of the Red River Valley. Members are people who enjoy the Center enough to want to give something back – to make a personal investment in its exhibits and programs, for themselves and for their community.

You can be sure that your membership commitment to the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center, at any level of support, will make a difference.

For example, membership dollars help provide indispensable educational services to the region through our tour program for school groups. We work closely with teachers to offer museum experiences that will add to the curriculum by connecting our permanent exhibits like the Viking Ship, the Stave Church, and the Red River Valley Exhibit to the rich heritage of this region.

The Center also hosts an ever-changing array of major traveling exhibits in Heritage Hall. These displays come from national and international museums on a wide range of topics in humanities, arts, and sciences. Membership dollars allow us to include special components such as lecture series that relate these traveling exhibits to our region’s history.

Here are some easy options for putting your membership to work:

  Individual _________________________ $30
  Household _________________________ $60
  Heritage Basic _________________________ $125
  Heritage Vanguard _________________________ $250
Leadership Circle Members can take satisfaction in knowing their annual contribution enables the Hjemkomst to go beyond the status quo - to deliver to the region the best of heritage exhibits from around the world, as well as to fulfill its mission of interpreting the life, culture, and heritage of the Red River Valley.

Here’s how you can become a member of the Heritage Hjemkomst Leadership Circle:

  Sponsor ___________________________

$500

  Patron ___________________________ $1,000
  Benefactor ___________________________ $2,500
  Philanthropist ___________________________ $5,000
